The City of Warrensburg was recently named a City of Distinction by Ingram’s, Kansas City’s Business Magazine.
In the November 2013 issue, Ingram’s profiles five communities as Cities of Distinction “for seizing the opportunities that lay before them, managing the challenges that confronted them, and strengthening the overall fabric of life for the greater Kansas City region.”
Listed in the “below 20,000 population” category, the Warrensburg profile boasts the rich opportunities available in our small town including the University of Central Missouri, Whiteman AFB, business incentives, one-stop shop at City Hall for permitting and licensing, City parks, and hospital expansion among others.
“The City of Warrensburg is honored to be recognized by Ingram’s as a City of Distinction. We are proud of our partnerships with local organizations, including UCM and Whiteman AFB, who provide forward-thinking leadership. We are also thankful to our residents who provide feedback on our progress and offer ideas of what would benefit the quality of life for Warrensburg citizens and visitors,” stated Charlie Rutt, City Mayor. “Without the cooperation of every person in this great community of ours, including the commitment of City staff, we would not be in the progressive position that we are. We will continue to work hard to increase the attention of what Warrensburg has to offer.”
