WARRENSBURG, MO (February 28, 2014) – The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has issued a Winter Storm Watch for snow in effect from 6 PM Saturday, March 1st until Sunday night, March 2nd.  The current forecast includes a accumulation of 1 or more inches of sleet and 4-9 inches of snow possible throughout the night and continuing until Sunday evening.

In anticipation of these bad weather conditions, per ordinance Sec. 23-332, the City Manager is declaring that Phase I of the Emergency Snow Ordinance will go into effect at 6:00 PM on Saturday evening, March 1st.

Vehicles on Emergency Snow Routes must be removed during this “Snow Emergency” or they will be towed at the owner’s expense.

In accordance with ordinance Sec. 23-338 adopted in October 2013, “Cul-de-sacs on all streets are included in the Phase I route designation under this division.”

  • Grover Street, Holden to Mitchell
  • Clark Street, Holden to Mitchell
  • Houx Street, Washington to Holden
  • Washington, Business 50 to Houx
  • Warren, Business 50 to Hunt

Additionally, all other residents are strongly advised to remove their vehicles from all City streets to help expedite snow removal efforts.
