Lieutenant Asher Snook has been promoted to the rank of Major with the Police Department. The Major position was authorized in the fiscal year 2014 budget.
Major Snook is a 29 year veteran with the Warrensburg Police Department and has served the past 14 years as a Lieutenant of Operations and Patrol. Before being promoted to Lieutenant, he served as a Corporal and Patrol Officer in both Patrol and Traffic Divisions. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree with the University of Central Missouri in Criminal Justice Administration and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Quantico, Virginia.
Prior to Warrensburg P.D., Major Snook served in the United States Air Force. After being hired, he continued in the United States Air Force Reserves and retiring in 2007 as a Senior Master Sergeant.
Major Snook is married. He and his wife have two grown sons, and a daughter that is soon to graduate from Warrensburg High School.
