The City of Warrensburg is accepting applications for a full time Fire Prevention Officer. This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. This position requires the employee to be a certified fire investigator and certified fire inspector within 12 months. The position provides code enforcement, fire inspections, and fire investigations. The position also manages the fire departments prevention program. A college degree is preferred. Experience in the areas of fire suppression, investigations, and code enforcement is required. Must have a valid Missouri Motor vehicle operator’s license. The candidate is required to submit to drug/alcohol screening and full background investigation. This is a 40 hour position that can be flexible as events and incidents dictate and requires the ability to work occasional overtime.
