The Warrensburg Tree Board will host a free hands-on pruning workshop on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Pre-registration is required by September 12. To register, please call Warrensburg Parks & Recreation at 660-747-7178.
Most trees fail in storms due to pre-existing defects that could have been corrected with proper pruning practices. Missouri Department of Conservation Forester Chuck Conner will teach how to train newly planted trees as well as proper pruning of mature trees in landscapes.
All tools will be provided. Participants must wear long pants and close-toed shoes, and bring gloves. Must be 18 years or older.
