Per the City Manager, the City of Warrensburg remains in Phase I of the Emergency Snow Ordinance. Vehicles on Emergency Snow Routes must be removed during this “Snow Emergency” or they will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. In accordance with ordinance Sec. 23-338 adopted in October 2013, “Cul-de-sacs on all streets are included in the Phase I route designation under this division.”
Street crews are working to keep major routes open to facilitate emergency services. Once emergency routes are cleared, street crews will work to clear roads near subdivisions so residents will have access to plowed main streets. Upon completion, crews will then work to clear residential areas. It is anticipated that residential work will take place approximately 7:00 pm this evening.
Street crews continually monitor the weather, road conditions and resident calls to effectively maintain safe road conditions for emergency services and other necessary travel.
Municipal Court has been canceled today.
City Hall is open today with only essential staff.
The Warrensburg Animal Shelter is closed for business today. Staff will continue to care for the animals on-site.
The Senior Center is closed but will be delivering meals.
The Warrensburg Community Center is currently open and offers a place to warm up. The fitness center, track and gym are available for use and the pool will be open 11:00 am to 1:00 pm for lap swim. All activities and exercise classes have been canceled for today.
