Construction for the Downtown Phase III-B Project is scheduled to begin on March 3, 2014. KAT Construction of Bates City is the contractor for this project.
The project is a continuation of the downtown streetscape improvements made to Holden St. and Pine St. Work will commence on the east side of Holden St., beginning at the railroad tracks, and proceed south to Grover St. At Grover St., work will include improvements to both sides of the streets along with the installation of sewer upgrades.
Underground storm drainage improvements will be constructed along the entire portion of the project. New curb and gutter, along with new sidewalk and brick pavers, will be installed to complement the existing downtown streetscape improvements.
During the project, access to Commercial St. will be closed to traffic. This area will provide storage of project equipment and materials. As construction progresses, Holden St. may be closed in the vicinity of the project.
The City will announce information pertaining to Holden St. closures and construction updates on the City’s website, Facebook page and Twitter account. Emails will also be sent directly to individuals signed up for notices. To subscribe to construction updates, please send an email to social.media@warrensburg-mo.com.
The project is scheduled to take 60 days to complete, weather permitting.
