If you are looking for a new appliance, you may want to take part in Missouri’s Annual Show-Me Green Sales Tax Holiday from April 19-25, 2014.
The sales tax holiday provides Missouri shoppers the opportunity to save money on energy-efficient appliances. Last month, City Council passed an ordinance allowing the Show-Me Green Sales Tax Holiday to apply to the local sales taxes in Warrensburg.
The City of Warrensburg encourages anyone who wants to invest in more energy-efficient new appliances, up to $1,500 per appliance, to take advantage of the local and state sales tax exemptions.
Qualifying energy-efficient items may include clothes washers, water heaters, dish washers, furnaces, air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers and heat pumps. It is recommended that consumers find out which models and appliances qualify under the program before making purchases.
