JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Business Information Specialist
The City of Warrensburg is accepting applications for a full time Parks and Recreation Business Information Specialist. This position reports directly to the Parks and Recreation Director and is responsible for business operation to better serve the customers and to become more efficient.
This position requires a High School diploma; Bachelor’s Degree in management, business, marketing or a related field and 2-4 years of experience in a similar role; or a minimum 6-8 years of experience in a similar role with progressively complex and responsible duties required. Must have working knowledge and experience in public relations, advertising and marketing.
1-3 years of PIO/Marketing experience preferred. Computer experience necessary. The Business and Information Specialist reviews every aspect of the Department’s business operations for the purpose of improving processes to better serve customers and to make the Department more efficient. This position is responsible for developing and executing an effective communications strategy which enhances the public perception of the office and helps to convey the accomplishments and priorities of the Director, the Park Board and the City of Warrensburg. Additionally, this person will assist the Parks and Recreation Director in developing/implementing policies and procedures and administering the Department’s budget.
